Installation
Installing Screenbox is easy, and I’ll walk you through three ways to do it.
Method 1: Microsoft Store (Recommended)
- Open the Microsoft Store.
- Search for Screenbox.
- Click Install, and that’s it!

Method 2: Downloading from GitHub (If You Don’t Have the Microsoft Store)
- Head to the Screenbox Github Repository page.
- Download the MSIXBUNDLE file.
- Once downloaded, double-click to install.

Method 3: Using Winget (Command Line)
If you’re on Windows 11, Winget is already installed by default. To install Screenbox using Winget:
- Open the Start Menu, search for PowerShell, and open it.
- Type the following command and hit Enter:
winget install screenbox -s winget
- The installation will start automatically.

Interface Overview
When you first open Screenbox, you’ll notice how minimal, modern, and clean the design is.
- The main playback screen is simple and uncluttered.
- The controls are intuitive and easy to use.

Gestures & Keyboard Shortcuts
Screenbox supports gesture controls, making it super easy to navigate:
- Swipe right or left to seek forward or rewind.
- Swipe up or down to adjust volume.
If you prefer keyboard shortcuts, good news! Screenbox supports the same shortcuts as YouTube:
- Press L to skip forward.
- Press J to skip backward.
- Press K to pause/play.
- Press M to mute.
Audio & Subtitles
At the bottom left corner, you’ll find options to change audio tracks and subtitles.
- If your video has multiple audio tracks, you can switch between them easily.
- The same goes for subtitles—just select your preferred option.

Picture-in-Picture Mode
Screenbox also supports Picture-in-Picture mode, allowing you to keep your video on top while working on other tasks.
- Click the Picture-in-Picture button to activate it.
- The video will shrink into a floating window that stays on top of everything else.

Save Current Frame as Image
Need to take a screenshot of your video? Screenbox has a built-in feature for that.
- Open the menu and select “Save Current Frame”.

- The image will be saved in your Pictures folder.
- A prompt will appear, letting you view the saved image instantly.

Chromecast Support
And finally, Screenbox supports Chromecast, so you can easily stream your videos to a bigger screen without any extra setup.
